» Poem: fading years...
fading years...
written by vampire_princess

The tears trickle down my face,
My mind is in another place,
Somewhere in a space,
Full of death and disgrace.

I hid my fears,
All these years,
Afraid to let them roam,
Knowing that once I come back they will have grown,
Into the beast that I now know to be me,
I should never have let them free.

Now I am crazy,
Now I am mean,
Now I must hide in the shadows so I can never be seen.

So as I disappear,
And the end draws near,
In the faint distance I hear,
All the fading years,
And fears,
Go away,
And with my final breath I say,
‘now everything will be okay’
