» Poem: Lonely Nights & Days
Lonely Nights & Days
written by DarkAngelBlood

I hate the I promise you's,
Because they seem to never come true.
One second you're promised something,
Then the next, you find yourself with nothing.
Whoever likes to be treated this way,
Must love lonely nights and days.
If you had a dad that said he was gonna be there,
But never showed up, seems like he doesn't care.
If you had a friend that said they'd meet you in the end,
But they bailed on you again.
Sorry, I forgot to return your phone call.
Sorry, we never hang out anymore.
Sorry, my favorite season's not summer, but fall.
Sorry, you just became a bore.
I hate the I promise you's,
They're nothing but lies and no truth.
One minute you're promied life,
Then the next, it's all sacrificed.
Whoever likes to be treated this way,
Must love lonely nights and days.
If your dad said he was gonna be there,
Where is he? It's not fair.
Your friends said they'd be around,
So you're looking, but they're nowhere to be found.
Sorry, I hate these promises.
Sorry, they're just guilt-trips.
Sorry, I hate these promises.
Sorry, I'm sick of this shit.
