Sorry. Over the last few days I just haven't felt like writing anything, & if I try force myself to write at those times,
the result usually isn't so good. Besides, there didn't seem to be anything that needed an immediate reply.
Then last night I finally got back into the writing mood, I started writing out the first few sentences of my post...& my dad kicked me off the
computer to check his e-mails. XD
But I'll go post now.

yes, or if you have a pain in the ass DM like I've had you roll for initiateive at the beging of every round cause it better simulates life.

Yeah, our normal DM is pretty cool, & only make us roll initiative/take turns in battle.
However one DM made us take set turns even in normal playing. I didn't like that, because I just feel it didn't flow as well as when people just say
something whenever they need/want to.
We've said from the start; join this one at any time. 
Just make up a character sheet & meet up with us somewhere. Oh, & I think we're playing 3rd edition rules. Or 3.5. One of those.
Okay, this is going to be really embarrasing, but...
I want to cast my Glitterdust spell. Do I have to roll a D20 or anything to do this?
I remember some of my spells don't need this, I just roll for damage (if they do damage, which this doesn't). I've tried looking around online, but
I can't find how to cast. >.<

let me look up on spells I have the fourth edition rule book but that thing is sacrilige so I'll have to dig out 3.5
Okay if I remeber this corectly you roll a D20 modified by your Concentration skill (3.5 ed) or Spellcraft skill (3.0 ed) against the spell's DC the
DC increases if it's in a combat situation and how distracted your caracter is

I'm going to quote for you the Player's Handbook 3.5 Explination of the spell
Glitterdust
Conjuration (Creation)
LVL: Brd 2 Sor/Wiz 2
Components: V, S, M (Verbal, Somatic need at least one hand open, and Material)
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: 100 ft +10ft per lvl
Area: Creature's and objects within a 10-foot-radius spread
Duration 1 round/ lvl
Saving throw: Will negates (blinding only)
Spell Resistance: No
A cloud of golden particles covers every one and everything in the are, causing creatures to become blinded and visibly outlining invisible things
for the duration of the spell. Allwithin the area are covered by the dust, which cannont be removed and continues to sparkle untill it fades. Any
creature covered by the dust takes a -40 penalty on hide checks.
Material Component: Ground Mica
Well if I were DM and you were casting the spell on an oponent I would not require a spellcraft check because I can never figure oput an appropriat DC
for spells, however you should roll a spellcraft/concentration check VS oponents Will
