Hey newbies. Firstly, heres a guide to each section of zenhex and what it's about, before you make a thread and ask about it.
Home Page
So this is what we call the portal. Theres endless links to just about everything here. You'll find the most recent posts, most active hexxor, and so
on. It's pretty simple really. It also shows the user ranks, which I'll get onto later. Also a common subject.
Although they don't admit it, we hexxors live to find our names on the portal for being famours or honoured. We just like to pretend you're lieing
to us 
Forums
The most common mistake is posting in the wrong section, so make sure you look around before you post your ass off about some band in the newbie
forum. Heres a brief explanation of whats acceptable in each forum.
Open Discussion is probably where you'll get away with it the easiest,
just try not to post the obvious picture threads or music threads here. Just general stuff that doesn't seem to fit anywhere else.
The Newbie Forum is where you'll most likely get flamed. If you make
a stupid newbie post, you'll officially become a n00b. If you do not yet know what a n00b is, just keep reading. Just a simple "Hey I'm new" and
something intelligent will be a good start here at zenhex. We generally don't take kindly to newbies.
Role Playing is probably best for experience RPers who know what
they're doing. Don't just randomly go in and post out of character, it won't be appreciated. If you start your own RP, make sure you have a
detailed storyline and description. And please make sure it hasn't been done recently.
The Photo Album is a pretty fun place, as long as you know how to
post a picture. I'll get on to BB Code later, and make sure you read it if you don't already know how to get your pictures up here. This will ruin
your reputation, even if you don't have one. Don't post something about your favourite band in the photo album.
Politics & Current Events is a pretty serious forum, be careful
about what you post and please steer away from "Bush Sucks" threads. Post interesting things that can be discussed and backed up with an article.
Keep out if you don't have a clue.
Clubs, Organizations, and Groups is for finding people who share the
same interests as you, who you can then interact with and talk about whatever it is. Usually it's nothing too serious, just a fun place. Don't post
groups that only you would want, or groups with no meaning. And don't do something thats been done before.
Hex Families and Relations This is the forum where you can create
or add to your zenhex family. Please note that any ther family threads posted in other forums (with the exception og Journals)
will be deleted by the staff.
Cheeeeeze is a jokes forum. It doesn't really need much explanation,
but don't post lame jokes or common ones like "Why did the boy throw the alarm clock out the window?". We also have a jokes section, which I'll get onto later.
Bullshit Or Not is a little game we have here on ZenHex. You post a
story and we post if it's right or not. Don't post really unbelievable stories, or it's no fun to play.
The Island Of Shame is where all the sucky threads go. If you know
your thread isn't the best, or if it's pointless...Heres the place for you. If you didn't post it here but it turns up, then I'll know you
haven't read my FAQ properly...
Homework Help is for if you're stuck on something you might need a
little help on. Don't just attention seek and ask a stupid and obvious question...Come on and challenge us 
Sex, Relationships and Intimacy is where you can dump your questions
or worries on us. If you don't know if you love him or not, or if you don't know if it's right to have sex yet...Then post away. Just be careful,
sometimes stuff gets flamed for being too obvious.
Life Problems, Crisis, and Dilemas this is where serious life problems
are discussed, with the purpose of sekeing peer counseling for issues like rape, assault, or anyother perosnal issues.
Emotional Health Is where emotiona crisis are discussed
Such as Depression, heart break, or anyother feeling realted problems seeking peer advice. Please
see the Forum Rules Before Posting.
Health, Fitness and Nutrition is where you can look for advice on
healthy diets or ways to keep fit. Don't post asking if it's ok to starve yourself, or if you're overweight. Just try and help yourself.
LIfestyles is a forum where members can discuss and relate
on the different lifestyles they lead.
Music is well known for being a flaming ground, when newbies like
yourself post something to do with a band that has been done before. People don't want to hear it over and over again, so look around before you
post.
Anime is just generally...well, Anime. Don't talk about the common
well known stuff all the time, if you have something to say then look for an already made topic.
Books And Print is where you can talk about whatever book you are
reading, or if you don't understand something in a storyline...Or just talk about your favourite magazine. As always, check it hasn't been said
before.
Video Games for all you gamers out there who want to boast about how
well you've done, or how much you're really good at some MMORPG or whatever it is
Like the jokes forum, we have a section for Poetry And Writing which
can be found here. Don't whore your poems, if you have more then one then put them
in one thread. You must be prepared for all comments, and don't complain when people don't like it.
Test/Quiz Results is another part of zenhex that branches off a
section dedicated to it, which can be found here. Don't post loads of results
just to raise your post count.
Movies, Television, Sports, Athletics, Competition and
Arts and Leisure are pretty much the same as the other forums in the
Entertainment section of zenhex.
Zenhex Quizzes are what attract most new members. If you're going to make a
quiz, it's best to advertise it here first.
Religion, Faith & Paranormal should be used seriously, and not just to
make you look cool by saying you're wiccan. Just take it a little seriously and you'll be ok.
Science and Technology for the proud nerds out there
Clubs, Guilds, Clans and Special Interest Groups IS a place for clubs that
have grown beyond the bundries of the Clubs forum. The organizations that reside here have become a major part of zenhex and to the memebrs that
belong to them.
Journals are for the lucky people who have always had one, or took an
un-used one (With their permission of course) but not for people who feel like wondering in and posting in someone elses journal. Most the time this
won't be taken very lightly, and as we are currently not accpeting any journal requests then I advise you wait unless you know the person.
zenhex for all things zenhex If you have a complaint, request or and rant then heres the place for you.
Ok so thats it for the forums, anyone who posts out of place obviously didn't read this so don't come crying to me when nobody likes you 
Quizzes are a huge part of Zenhex. We have alot of trouble with
people doing quizzes that nobody is interested in, and this causing annoyance to the hexxors who have seen it all before. Make sure you don't make a
quiz that has no real point, and I advise it's not anything along the lines of "Would I fancy you" because nobody cares, to be honest. You can gain
honor from making quizzes.
Poetry is where you can share the work you are proud of with all
of us at zenhex. If we don't like it, we'll say. So don't complain. This also contributes to honor.
Humour is where you can share your jokes or just have a laugh, then
rate each other on how funny they are. Pretty simple and amusing. You gain 5 fame points but you can lose 10 if your joke is deleted by the mods for
various reasons.
Rants & Raves Is whre members may
create a petition either ranting or raving some thing or an issue and other members may agree of disgree. All rants& raves are subject to staff aproval
before appearing in the portal
Members is for those of you looking for whos around, or
just to find interesting profiles. You can also find out peoples post number, or status, or when they joined.
Todays Posts is pretty handy for recent topics and whats being
talked about. Pretty handy if you're just catching up for a few minutes.
Searching is currently not working, so scroll down to
the bottom of the page to search google for content posted within the forums.

Karma, Honor, Fame Guide

So what does this mean?
First karma because it's the oldest system.
KARMA
Moderators and Administrators, even super mods and super admins (  wow!
really? ) can dish out either good or bad karma. This reflects your behaviour-
You have good karma (positive numbers) when you have been nice to other members.
Hence when you've been bad or generally an asshole, you get bad karma.
HONOR
This is very different to karma. You get honor whenever someone takes one of your quizzes or reads a poem of yours.

FAME
Now your fame is also something very different.
You will get fame depending on how active you are in the forums. This probably means how many links you click on or how many posts you have. However
the amount of fame you get for every action is so minute I advise you just make your own bloody site and give yourself as much karma or chocolate or
whatever as you want.
Words You May Need
Most of the definitions can be found at www.urbandictionary.com, so if you see a word you don't recognise then search for it here, instead of asking
and looking like an idiot.
General Information
Newbies and n00bs are different things. Newbies are new people, and n00bs are people who act like they've never seen a forum before. Don't turn into
a n00b.
Don't double post.
Use proper English.

thirteen.. where do you see yourself with this person when you are 30? I know that seems like a big comitment... but if sex is done wrong at a young

questions are geniune or not. Unlike you, some people here are mature enough, and have a high enough intelligence to know you're bullshitting.
Stop asking questions about being ready. You'll know when you're ready, and if you ask such questions, the time is obviously not right, at the
moment. Why are you so impatient? What is it about underage sex that appeals to you so much? Is it the risk? Is it the fact that you have no idea how
guilty you'll feel in later life, the fact that you're going to regret it until you die?
If you're being forced to make decisions by your 'friends', get some better friends. They're not friends, they're peers, unless they actually
care about you. If they did care, they would respect that you don't feel ready for an intimate relationship, and leave it at that.
Just stop with the pointless questions. Read the rules, read the FAQs, and if you're under 13, get out of here. It's a law, not a rule, and it's
zen that'd get it in the proverbial neck. I'm sorry if my words have been too large for you to understand, but if that is so, it's your cue to
hightail it out of here. That's before you get flamed to oblivion.

F) A plane ticket
G) meet half way somewhere.
4. Frost must realize that in order to sustain the relationship with Crypt both parties must put EQUAL effort into making it last.
*5. Frost realizes Crypt doesn't feel the same way, so he decides to go out and meet people and maybe find another girl that's close by.

Crisis Number 2
Breaking the Habbit (BTH), just realized that Azazel is dating Rise to Demise instead of her. BTH is crushed, because Azazel is her best friend.  BTH doesn't know what to do, but has strong feelings for Azazel, and is afraid Azazel will be gone forever!
What Should Breaking the Habbit do?
Apply Logic 2
1. BTH should realize Azazel is in a relationship, and unless he is a pimp, it is highly unlikely he'll dump Demise for BTH.
2. If BTH feels she really must tell Azazel how she feels, she should talk to him in a non-pressure setting and explain her feelings towards Azazel
with no expectations.
3. Once BTH realizes this she should persue other available men like Kodoma, and she still can be friends with Azazel even though he has a
girlfriend.

Crisis Number 3
Lexander wants to use Wolverine for Sex. But he's not sure if this is okay.
What should Lex do? 
Apply Logic 3
1. Lexander should realize it's okay to have "casual sex" as long as both parties agree.
2. Lex should tell Wolverine that this is a "Friends with Benefits" deal, so that Wolverine isn't misled or tricked into having sex.
3. Lex should also warn Wolverine of his goat boning and pine cone shoving fetishes.

Crisis 4
Remy LeBeau has a controlling mother.  She's "17" and thinks
it's her right to have friends and boyfriends and what not.
How should Remy deal with this problem?
Apply Logic 4
1. Remy must confront her mother with this issue.
2. She should say how she feels and what it is doing to her social life.
3. Her mother should give a reason for why she's treating Remy this way.
4. If things don't get better, you can move out. Isn't that what you want anyways?

Crisis 5
Dhiristi has never had sex before. She wants to have it with Astaroth but is not sure. She is not sure whether she should discuss this with her
mom.
What should Dhiristi Do?
Apply Logic 5
1. Bring it up in a non-tense setting if you feel you can discuss this with her.
2. get her opinion and advice, it might actually be usefull.
3. If you can't get her advice or are too afraid, go to a planned parenthood place to get safe sex advice.
4. Or be incredibly stupid and bang Astaroth without knowing a good god damn about sex.

Crisis 6
Tiamat is an abusive boyfriend who does drugs, cuts himself, and treats women like shit. Sugarfree feels the effects of his emotional unstability.
Sugarfree knows he's cheating on her and only wants sex from her.
What should Sugarfree do?
Apply Logic 6
1. Realize he won't change.
2. Realize you can't make him change
3. Realize that the more you hang around him the worse you'll feel.
4. Realize that if he's not willing to get help, he's not worth the effort
5. Don't be friends with the asshole. Would you be friends with a person that beat the shit out of you? ...only if you like pain.
Crisis Number 7
Thm's fiance is Peanut. They've been dating for three years.
However Peanut decides that she likes Zen instead. So Peanut tells Thm,
and then realizes she's about to get kicked out of her apartment, so uses this as an excuse to move in with Zen. We're not quite sure what Peanut is doing with Zen...
Meanwhile, what should Thm do?

1. Send Zen pictures of Bush with cryptic messages on it. 
2. Realize that Peanut is being honest about her feelings, and would rather tell Thm now, instead of ruin his wedding and life.
3. Not put his eggs in one basket.
4. Realize he no longer has a fiance.

Save the picture you like onto your computer.
Open it up in paint, and shrink it down until it's smaller than the requirements. Very good

In this site, you can make an account, to upload your brand new (resized and mabye edited) avatar.

If you skipped step two, them click on the picture you like, until you reach a screen with nothing but the picture you want on it.

Follow the instructions, by clicking where the red arrow indicates.
The red Arrow ends up at a box. Paste the url of your pic in there, exactly as it is, no more-no less
Click the button at the bottom, and you should be done.
If you uploaded the resized or edited picture in photobucket, (Step 2) then you will be given a brand new url for the picture.
Put that in the box, and you're done
Notice the yellow line? This is your signature box. Put in text, or the url of a pic you want in your sig. There are no size restrictions for images
in your sig at the present moment.
When putting an image in your signature, put the url in the img brackets
Remove the asterixes, to do it correctly.
How Not To Be Hated:Guide for new posters

The following is a guide on not getting hated while posting. People may say "I'm ok enough, I don't need to read this" or "I'm new, but I can
figure it out" but, in yet, this can help out.
BEFORE YOU EVER TRY TO POST FOR YOUR FIRST TIME I would recomend that you try to read some posts that others have done before and get a gist of what
others are like.
The biggest problem facing most n00bs is the "Why does everyone hate me?" question. I assure you that the common hexxor does not hate you, they hate
what you do. The average hexxor is cynical, sarcastic, sardonic, sometimes rude and mean, but not mean hearted (well most of them anyway).
So lets start:
I. Replying to a thread: Replying to a thread is the first step in becoming a hexxor. So here is some guidelines for doing such:
1. Always read the first post-In any topic, the title may be misleading. So it is always important to read the first post. If you wish to just post on
the beginning, you can, but what you should do is press the "Quote" button at the top of the post, and then respond under it. However, reading the
first post is the minimum. If you want to particpate, you should read all the posts in the thread.
2.Post On Topic-Never make a post referencing something off the topic. People have a particular hatred to that. Adding in off topic remarks will
probably get you critism, because in some threads they are trying to have serious conversation.
3.Don't try to strike a cord I was in an abortion thread, and someone posted up "Kill the babies". This kind of post will get you critism because
you are generally disreguarding the whole discussion and acting like a pompus ass. Once again, people are trying to have serious conversations at
times.
4.Post something intellegent- I know its tempting. Really is. But adding on that "I agree" at the end of a thread can be something that points you
out as a n00b. Most don't make a point of it, but if I see it, I will have a habbit of saying "informative comment". Though most don't give you a
problem, they still think about you for it.
5.Best thing for you to do-Add something to the conversation. If you can't add something to the conversatoin, DON'T POST. It is by far the best
thing that you can do. When people catagorize you, they are not going to look at your post count, but rather at what you've said. This is why people
who have 300 posts can gain more respect than some with 2000.
Important to remember
-Re-read over all your posts before you post them or click the "spell check" button next to the "send" button. You might have made a spelling error, or something and its easier to catch than explain.
-If reading down a line of posts, and you wanna comment on one, post on it, but if you wanna comment on more, edit that last post, and add to it. It
is just spamming to add many things together for no reason.
-If your post has become a point in convtroversy, don't edit it to gain appeal. You won't. Leave what was in the past in the past. Only edit when

II. Starting a thread: The other part of being an active hexxor is to start conversations, but there are important things to remember:
1.Look for another post-I know you think you're witty, and I know you think you're orrigonal, but there is a very good chance that whatever you are
bringing up might have already come up. In that case, you might wanna post in that thread again. Abortion is a big one with this, as there are
countless abortion threads. When one has run out, people make another one. So solution? If you're posting on a major topic, take a look around for it
before you post. Generally before you post, you should look at the top of every board to see if it's come up.
2.Post in the correct forum-If you wanna post that "Hi everybody" comment, put it in the newbie thread. If you wanna talk politics, it goes in the
politics thread. There are a multitude of forums in this board, and most likely there is one that will fit it other than "Open discussion". If its a
rant or talking about your day, Free speech all the way.
3.Post something people can converse about-When you start a thread, you're not only trying to just inform people, but you are trying to make
something that people will talk about. "A horse kicked me once" is not a good first post, because its not open ended, and frankly it is stupid.
There is no reasonable responce that someone could respond to that other than "Aww". If there is none, then you will get flamed.
4.Don't post about your life-There is no acception to this. If you do not want to be hated, do not post about your life on any circumstance. When I
say this, I mean don't post about how your day was, or what this guy did. Its sorry to say hat nobody cares about the downfalls in your life, as this
is another type of thread that the only responce is "aww" without being mean. Unfortunately you're life isn't the worst out there. If you're
asking for help, that is one thing, (and it goes into the advice forum), but going on a rant about your day is not going to gain you any simpathy.

5.Lay off the "Whats wrong with you people" threads-Unless you're Jesus, and you've not sinned, you have no right accusing anyone of not doing
anything. When you posts threads that the general gist is "Whats wrong with you people" usually sounds accusatory. The fact is that alot of people
do try to do good, even though you don't know them, and they are offended when you accuse them of anything. I know I can be.
6.NEVER POST THE "WHY DO YOU HATE ME"-This only makes people hate you more. Its blantantly saying "I don't know what I've done wrong, so I'm
gonna continue to do it and accuse you of it". That naturally never goes well with anyone. If you go and post this up, most likely it is your fault.
Also under this, don't appologize for posts you've made, but instead just stop and look at what you've done.
And last but certainly not least:
7.If you have nothing to talk about: DON'T POST-We all know you love the hex. Its a fun place to be. Bt if you have nothing to talk about or say,
you're just reaching, and reaching never goes well. There are hundreds of places to post on this board. If something doesn't come up in your normal
places, take a look around. At the very least, start going back in time and looking at past posts. You might gain some experience, or get a better
understanding of how things go.
Thats all for right now. If anyone has anything that I should add or made a mistake on tell me. This can be transfered to the n00b section, but I
think it should be kept in open discussion.
And remember. The amount of posts you have does not change your status as a n00b. Only your attitude does. Follow these guidelines, and I'm sure that
you'll be closer to not being one.

I. Addtions to replies
1. No Flaming-Yep. You've seen Vets do it, but truthfully it can be thier right to do it, but not yours. As of late there is enough flaming on some
idiots to go around, but you aren't quite at that point. Remember quite easily that could be you. Flaming as a n00b is like a cheeseburger that
someone's thrown in thier asscrack and tried to present to someone else. Sure, it might still look appealing, still looks tastey and juicy from afar,
but if you've tasted that burger, you know it tastes like shit.
II. Additions to making threads
Things to remember when making threads:
-Re-read and spell check your first post. Even if you have a good thread idea, if people can't understand you, you're just going to get wierd looks.
An example of this comes from Wayward's origional post on this matter.
"wat ur favorite team? my is the avelanece is my favoite taem."
Now, in this sentance, there are spelling errors (both keystroke errors and intentional spelling errors). Also the grammar is screwed up a bit. Now
check this one out.
"My favorite NHL team is the Avalanche. Whats yours?"
Even beyond spelling mistakes, fulling adding the idea allows someone, who might not be able to read your post, understand what you've said. The
second sentance, people will go "Oh, the Avalanche is an NHL team." verses the first will make people say "What are the avelaneces?"
-Don't be negative. This includes personal hatreds and all around hatreds. If you hate someone, fine, but you putting it out for the world to see
makes you look foolish, because all conflicts have different points of view. Don't post about hating other hexxors. Nobody likes this, because for
all you know they could hate you. And finally, don't single someone out for thier actions (sig or otherwise) unless you do it in a nice questioning
manner. Two examples about Lexander's Current Sig:
1. Topic: What the fuck is that!? (interior post): "Eww Lexander, what is your sig? thats horrid. Change plzthnx"
Bad. Do not post this
2. Topic: "Hey Lex...." (interior post): Whats is your sig of? I don't understand it, though I can find it a bit disturbing.
Good post
And by the way, this example would go in free speech. If you have anything negative, it goes in free speech. You know what negative is, so it all goes
in free speech.
Other Useless Information
Here at Zenhex we have what are known as vets. You'll probably know who they are as soon as you get here, as they are generally respected and have
been here for a while. It's wise not to make an enemy out of these people as they are pretty much the ones who will judge wether or not you'll be
liked.
You should ALWAYS preview your post if it is using BB Code, just to check you've done it right. That way, theres no way you can look stupid,
resulting in people laughing and pointing at you...
If you're bored, post in an existing discussion rather then telling everyone you're bored, because chances are...They won't care.
If you lose your password, you can request a new one if you have supplied the correct email address. So it's wise to do this. It does not have to be
shared with anyone, so don't worry about that. If you happen to not be able to get back on your account, I suggest you make a new one and u2u a staff
member regarding the issue.
As for signatures, keep them to a length which won't stand out too much on the page, also preferably not an image that stretches past the normal
width. Keep it short or the mods will delete it. Also, if you want to look good then have an avatar and signature put up before you post, then
they'll respect you for knowing what you're doing.
Don't let fame, karma or honor take over your posting. If you're only here to get loads of numbers under your avatar then you will really annoy
everyone. Posting alot about rubbish to raise post count is also a bad move.
