» Poem: “Petrified Pondering”
“Petrified Pondering”
written by Dilemma

You know not of what you do to me each day,
My life scurries in a massive fray.
Every time my eyes meet yours,
My heart beats like a raging war.
When I hold your hand,
I know you’re my man.
Your heartbeat pulsing beneath pale flesh constantly in a shrill,
Gives my own heart a sort of sweet and sure refreshing chill.
My senses are constantly doubtless,
But you tell me you love me nonetheless.
Trying to stay positive I will believe you,
And so we can go on doing the things we do.
I run my fingers through your hair,
And your hands slip down in a dare.
Daring and wondering of my consent,
Should you go frather or resent?
You wonder,
And then go under.
My moans tell you more,
And then we can move to the floor.
I know our love must be true,
But will you wait on me till there is something I can actually do?
If I move away from here,
Then in 2 years, become near,
Will you love me the say way?
Or will you tell me to hit the highway,
Because you’ve found someone else during our separation.
Then I’m on my own, saddened in a new location.
I wait by the phone,
Alone,
Hoping you would call,
And then I commence to bawl.
After all the years of saving myself,
He’s got another love for himself.
I’m forgotten,
No one loves me because I’m letting myself go rotten.
I’m a carcass, nothing but bones.
Then only thing you can hear is dismantled tones.
I’d do anything to have you back,
My sadness is caused by your lack.
You told me before I left if I asked you to wait,
You’d never have another date.
Till I could return back into your arms,
I just can’t resist your elegant charm.

Author's footnotes and comments on this Poem:
I just can't stop thinking about him. If I have to leave him, I might not make it. Sure he says he'll wait for me to come back, but will he really mean it? I mean...what if he thinks I won't get to come back and wants to find love before it's too late? I will always love you, Anthony
