Under November Skies

Slipping through my fingertips
A peaceful ending
To such a night of hate
The air bites my flesh
Seeming like the bite of death
Watch the clouds masquerade
Watch the stars serenade
Their sweet serenade

The moon shines full
In your gleaming eyes
As you lay on the null
Under November skies
We lay side by side
Staring into
Deeply into
November skies
The bare trees shade us now
The night fills the sky
Watch the city lights dim and fade
It seems we’ve had our way
The brisk breeze chills my spine
I wish we had the time
To go away for a while
Just a while
