» Poem: Once in a Lifetime
Once in a Lifetime
written by Misstress_Avelina

Most people believe
That what you see is what you get
But no, that is so untrue
Everyone gets upset.

You have to look
Deep inside past those mirrored eyes
If you don’t then might as well
Say your last good byes.

You don’t get three chances
Like in the game of baseball
This is real life, so deal with it
Stand up and take it all.

One chance is what you contain
A chance for life and love
You won’t have the opportunity to erase the other pain
So stand up and take it all.

Moments fade
As quickly as the passed
Just once in a lifetime
The types of chances that will never last.
