Abused
written by bichickwholuvs2lick05:11 AM 4/9/05::She sits in a tub, half filled with blood, half with water. Glass shattered over the floor, his name written on the wall in blood. In her last hours that they were together before the accident, their laughing and cutting up had turn to a violent arguement. Only mere moments ago, she slit her body from neck to wrist, thigh to foot, breast to abdomen. She killed herself after learning of her boyfriend's sudden death.::
:::::::::::::::::::hours earlier::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
David:: (his laughter rang through the room and throughout her heart and soul.) "Kristi, are you serious?! Are you really wanting to go see a shrink? "
Kristi:: (she bowed her head in silence) "David, I just think I wouldn't feel the way I do all the time if I went and saw one. "
David:: "Are you sick of being with me?! Is that it?!" (he gripped her wrists roughly and stared at her, his face twisted with anger)
Kristi::(she whimpered softly) " David, you're hurting me..."
David::(he slapped her roughly, knocking her off the couch.) "Stupid bitch! Do you honestly fucking think you're better than me!!!??"
Kristi::"I never said that..." (tears pour down her cheeks)
David::"Shut up you fucking bitch!!" (he kicks her in her ribs and walks angrily to the door and says before leaving) " You fucking cunt, when you learn to respect me, call me. Until then...you lie there like the weak ass bitch you are and cry and don't crawl to me until you can fucking respect me!!!" (he leaves, slamming the door behind him)
Kristi::(she manages to crawl back on the couch and she lies there, crying into the leather interior. she falls asleep and does not wake until the phone rings. she answers the phone weakly while rubbing at her sore eyes.) "Hello?"
Man::"Is this Kristi Donnahue?"
Kristi::"Yes..."
Man::"Ms. Donnahue, I'm afraid that your boyfriend, David Smythe is dead. He died in a car accident earlier this evening. We need you to come to the morgue and confirm that this is him. Is that okay?"
Kristi::(tears welled up and she choked back a sob) "Um....yes.....just give me a while."
Man:: "Thank you ma'am."
Kristi:: (she hung up the phone and began to cry. all she could do was cry. she couldn't think, couldn't speak, couldn't move. the one person who loved her was dead. she stood and stumbled to the bathroom, her eyes blurred by stinging tears. she went inside, leaving the bathroom door open and turned on the water spicket to the tub. she stripped down, tossing her clothes and shoes everywhere. when she tossed one of her shoes, it went crashing in to the mirror, breaking glass and scattering it all over the floor. she picked up a piece of glass and climbed into the tub, water washing over her body and drenching the tips of her hair. she sat a moment and finally cut into her skin. blood ran fast, but before she died, she took her blood and wrote David's name on the tiled bathroom wall.)

Man#1:: "Neighbor said he came over because her mother had called over to Donnahue's place and got no answer. So she called the neighbor all worried and asked him to check on her. When he knocked on the door, there was no answer. He knocked again, still no answer. So the guy tries the doorknob, the door is unlocked and so he goes in. The house is dead still and he's calling her name, right. Well, he thinks no one is home and he has got to go to the bathroom. So he walks to the bathroom, the door is wide open, and he sees her. She's in the tub, drained of blood, her dead boyfriend's name on the wall, and the mirror is broken."
Man#2::(he shakes his head in silence) "What happened to the boyfriend?"
Man#1::"He died in a car accident a few hours before she killed herself. She was supposed to claim his body."
::She's carried out in a long black coroners bag on white stretcher. Neighbors and friends stand outside viewing the horrific sight, speachless of the events. No one ever knew her boyfriend beat her:: |

Stop domestic Violence::::All to often women find themselves in an abusive, violent relationship. As in the picture above, they can be left devastated by their partners who have abused them sexually or inflicted violent acts of mental abuse and/or battering. It can be very confusing when their partner apologizes and promises not to do it again. Believe me when I tell you, if he has abused you once he will do it again and again. The only way to Stop Domestic Violence is to get out and stay out.
Domestic violence or abuse of family members can take many forms. Emotional abuse, economic abuse, sexual abuse, threats, using children, using male privilege, intimidation and isolation are all forms of battering. There are a variety of other behaviors that can be used to maintain fear, intimidation and power. The abuser is most often the men in the families in all cultures. Women are most often the victims of violence. Abuse of the elderly and children are also prevalent in all cultures. While men are most often the abuser, men can also be victims of abuse by the women in their lives ie: mother, sister(s), grandmother, aunt(s) or wife. Men can, and should read, evaluate and apply any of the information included on my site.
Abusers use a pattern of behavior to establish power and control over another person through fear and intimidation that may include using threats or violence. The abuser believes that they are entitled to control someone else. However, assault, battering and domestic violence are all CRIMES. Acts of domestic violence generally fall into one or more of the following areas:
PHYSICAL BATTERING: Physical attacks or aggressive behavior can fall anywhere between bruising to murder. It may begin with what is excused as a trivial contact and escalate into more frequent and serious attacks.
SEXUAL ABUSE: The abuser's physical attack is often accompanied by or ends with sexual violence where a woman is forced to have sexual intercourse with the abuser or take part in a sexual activity that she does not want to be part of.
PSYCHOLOGICAL BATTERING: An abuser's psychological or mental violence may include constant verbal abuse, harassment, excessive possessiveness and isolation of the woman from her family and friends. She may have physical and economic resources withheld and her personal property may be destroyed.
Domestic violence and abuse escalates with time. It may begin with threats, name-calling or violence in her presence and may include damage to objects or abuse of pets. It often then moves into restraining, pushing, slapping and/or pinching. The next stage may include punching, kicking, biting, tripping, throwing things and sexual assault. And finally it may become life threatening with serious acts of choking, breaking of bones and use of weapons.
If you are a victim of domestic violence, abuse or battering remember, you are not alone. Help is available and there are people who will listen to you and understand your situation.
