» Poem: CUTTER WANNABES
CUTTER WANNABES
written by bloody_tears_girl

let me tell you the difference between a cutter and a cutter wannabe:

a cutter wannabe walks around with their sleeves pulled up,
showing them to people expecting all the pitty in the world.
a cutter wannabe makes itty bitty scratches,
ones that barely even hurt.
when real cutters cut they WANT it to hurt.
cutter wannabes cant wait to tell people what they have done to themselves.
because god forbid you cut and no one knows about it.
so you see,
cutter wannabes cut for all the wrong reasons,
in a desparete attempt for attention.

real cutters keep their wounds covered,
hoping to get through the day without anyone seeing them.
real cutters are not scared of the blood, or the pain,
they cut because they hurt,
they need something to make them feel better,
so they turn to the razor,
real cutters try to tell no one,
and i f someone finds out,
they lie,
telling them a story on what they might believe.
real cutters cut because they're already in pain.

i absolutly agree with you here....i know so many wannabes that say that they cut themselves when really they have nothing to really show but a tiny scratch or two....

i agree too, but honestly, some times for me it is for attention, not ne more though, i've stopped, for the most part. i did like what u had to say, u were being honest without completely shooting ppl down.

Every cutter does it for attention at leat once in there cutting time. I did now its for relief. But everyone just wants someone to care.

that was really good and it was true too,

Then i guess real cutters wouldn't write about it on the internet for the entire population of the world to know?

You absolutely right. I hate it when people do that for attention, it just pisses me off. I give you an applause *claps*

Ok if you are a cutter and you hide it from everyone and don't want anyone to know what you are doing to urself, then why do you tell everyone about it? No one is a wanna be, people deal with it in different ways. I'm a cutter but i don't wear long sleaves because I'm not scared to show everyone that I have a problem. If anything you should show people then maybe they will understand and help you...Because most cutters want help, not more pain...

That is true, in more ways then one, but sometimes it begins with a person wanting attention, but then they move towards how it feels..but yeah. To the person above me, I agree, but not everyone wants help, I know alot of people who would never go to the hospital for stitches, in fear of someone finding out, and then getting help, because they may not want the help. I understand the long sleeve thing, because some people wear short sleeves, revealing their cuts and or scars because they really are sick of trying to hide it, but for the most part, if you are running around with these cat scratches telling everyone how you cut yourself, and blah blah blah, that is pretty much a person who just wants attention.
