Don't tell me you're leaving town
Cuz you don't know what I've been through
And I want you around
I want to be in love with you
But you make it so hard
So now's the time I have to choose
Do I go two spaces forward
Or back to the start
Why you gotta try to change me
Why you gotta not even care
I guess you're just too blind to see
Exactly what makes me scared
Why you gotta try to know the truth
Why you gotta run from your fears
You're not setting your troubles loose
Why you gotta want me like you do
Why's this gotta be so lonely
Why you gotta be you
