Uncertainty
written by Wayward06:43 AM 4/4/05I’m uncertain about something,
But not certain as to what.
Undecided if I’m on a mountain,
Or planted in a rut.
I’m aware of my surroundings,
But unaware of their cause.
My conscious surroundings are overwhelming.
Unable to be paused.
The constraints of reality,
Do nothing for my stance.
It could escape at any moment,
Without a thought or glance.
Holding onto uncertainties,
Or letting them go.
One path holds happiness,
But which one I do not know.
For the mountain is too high,
And the rut is too low.
The thoughts are too fast,
But I won’t let them go.
I’ll sit here and smile,
Though as to why I’m not sure.
The current thoughts don’t please me.
But the reverse fail to allure. |
