Why Do They Hurt Us?

Just to see the hurt in your eyes
Then they break you apart
Leaving you with a shattered heart
Even though they promised they'd never hurt you,
And that's something they "just wouldn't do."
They tear us and break us down
Just so they can feel power when they see our frown
They live off of our pain and feed off of our fear
They love to hear us say that we only want them near
They only want us to use
They only want us to abuse
They don't really care how we feel
To them, we're not real
We play the role of their slaves
Day after day
This has to end
We can't go through this all again |
