» Poem: Guardian Angel
Guardian Angel
written by DeadInside187

It is said that everyone has a guardian angel that protects them from sin
But mine is the one that helps guide the blade across my skin
It seems like I’m in a dream of which I cannot wake
My life is that of which I cannot bring myself to take
The pain has never subsided through all of these years
My eyes burn from the constant shedding of tears
There are very few things that bring a true smile to my face
Sometimes I wonder why I’m still in this place
My mask of glass is what makes others think I’m happy and free
But deep down inside the pain always gets the best of me
This razorblade romance is the onlt thing that releases the pain within
When I’m alone at night I slash this pretty skin
It’s captivating to watch the blood seep from my wrist
Pouring and spilling until it covers my entire fist
I’ll never be able to bring myself to take my own life
But I have wanted to countless times when staring at the knife
