» Poem: Rise The Wake
Rise The Wake
written by YouSmileAs_I_Die

A revolution born from a guitar and a singer's voice

Advocating open-minds and the freedom of choice

This movement will never be contained in these four walls

It's living and breathing, growing stronger when darkness falls

This is my sanctuary, this is what I can call home

Finally I can get lost in a crowd, and not feel so alone

Mocking the government, raising battle cries against death,

Sickness, comformity, the indulgences of the flesh

I'm here, picking myself off of the floor and wiping blood from my eyes

And nothing has ever felt more right as time rushes by

A revoltuion has been sparked inside the hearts of so many who are willing to carry it out

Until the end and finally show the world, what the Emo revolution is all about
