» Poem: Can you see me smiling?
Can you see me smiling?
written by Open_Until_4Am

Do you see that smile?
I know you do, but you’ll never see my heart.
To many pieces for me to even carry on with.
No it will never mend, no never will it be whole again.
I try to walk away for you, pick myself up today.
Cause I have no one to lean on anymore.
So I fall faster into this empty pit deep inside of me.
Words are hard to find, when I’m feeling out of control.
I look at all of them.
I can feel the heat of their happiness.
But I know that’s one thing I’ll never have inside of my sad soul.
Leave me today, just don’t say your sorry for all that you‘ve given me.
Guilt hurts me so much, and I don’t know why.
I keep telling myself I have not to feel guilty for.
I wanna show you the scars I leave myself with.
They’re much deeper on the inside, on the surface is nothing to how I feel.
I don’t have anything to smile for.
Yet I put one on everyday just so you don’t ask questions.
Life’s not fair, I learned that when I was only 5 year old.
Can’t seem to care about what I get and what I have.
My finger tips hurt from all the writing I’ve been doing.
Sometime I just wished I didn’t feel.
