the object of his affection
her dress still crumpled on the floor
she, his epitome of perfection
his jacket hanging on the bathroom door

the pulse of their lustful cadence
is striking, tearing at my heart
jealousy forces every muscle tense
their soft embrace will never split apart

I can feel his fingers tracing
all the way up and down her back
their mattress squeaking; my heart is racing
I close my eyes, everything fades to black

she softly whispers in his ear
everything's going to be all right
I feel their hands touch; shed a single tear
hoping, wishing this to be my last night

bathing in my imperfection
looking for anything to feel
right now I'm just a human infection
clamoring to hold on to something real

she slowly looks into his eyes
as they leave the whole world behind
no longer can I drown myself in lies
as, caressingly, they become entwined

sanctity has become my own
slowly aside I have been cast
one longing comfort stays while I'm alone
this false utopia never will last
