Fallen Celebrity

Brainwashed and left fucking tame
To them it’s all the same
Because they don’t see their own agony and pain
So sightless and energy drained
They give up on their hopes just to maintain
A status of secret shame
Insane, insecure with thoughts so deranged
As delusions creep inside their veins
Plastic smiles they try to feign
While inside tears of anguish fall in vain
As they say the words they’ve been taught and trained
They think how later they’ll consume their misery in cocaine
In the end what do they gain?
But scorn and tasteless disdain
It’s sad, all this for just 15 minutes of fame
Fallen celebrity your reign is over and stained
What will you do now?
But be chained to the ghosts of your past
And remain just another fallen celebrity of yesterdays cast. |
