The Story of a Suicide

Of a girl who lived long ago.
When life ignored the warnings,
She'd die and no one would know.
She wasnt perfect,
In anyones eye,
The way she spoke,
And the way she would lie.
Despite her dishonesty,
She wasnt to blame.
Neither for her sadness,
Nor her pain.
Although she seemed happy,
Beneath the clothes she'd wear,
Were scars and burns,
That no one knew were there.
She tried her best to live,
Though she relied on her blade.
She couldnt believe,
The decision she made.
The next morning,
When she awoke.
One would ask questions
But not one word she spoke.
She left school,
And went straight home.
The first mistake her parents made,
She was alone.
She had no doubt,
About what she was about to do,
She would put an end to her life,
And nobody knew.
She grabbed her only friend,
Her crimson knife,
She shed not one thought,
Ready to end her life.
What was the point of one last thought,
When she knew it would be the same.
She couldnt breathe anymore,
Couldnt live with the reoccurring pain.
She touched the blade to her skin,
Couldnt wait anymore.
Took one last breath,
And finally she hit the floor. |

| One word: perfect. It just means something to me. My best friend attempted suicide two years ago but was found before she bled to death. You don't need the whole story, but that poem was incredible, just keep writing poetry. |
