an ode to No one, someone, and everyone
written by Sugar Free07:35 PM 2/9/05No matter what I go through, no matter what i have to face, I will always have myself, though it may not be thought of great by anyone else, when it is all said in done, it is the most valuable thing I own. It is my life, and I can decided when I am ready to take the next step, no matter how hard the nag or try to win over a peice of me.. i will never give in .. it is my life, you must let me walk on...
You always are in the back of mind, I think of you when I make my most heartful decisions, I can't think of anything else that you could as for.. but I must rise above the rest....
As darkness falls and the stars gleam in the still winter night, I know that there are those that feel belittled too... a childhood wonder of how big the world is.. and why you were blessed with the greta opportunity to be a part of it... and can such a small girl with a big voice ever scream loud enough to ring throughout the mountians and echo by the sea...
dreams bigger than some can imagine, never seem that far from my reach.. stubborn to some, determined to one, I don't need you, and you don't need me... why is it that we seem to be... how is it that we are what we are.. why have we survived through it all.. why is it that you never left my side, never made me cry... and would never let me die... why is it that I move you.. why must you protect me... what is so great about me? I know you see the same great stars I do.. they gleam in your eyes... and maybe.. just maybe that is why...
I never truley trusted anyone before I met you.. it is hard to put your heart out on the line..but you never left it to get cold.. you take it in.. take it with you, and raise it to the sunshine, give me all the hope wishes, and luck I could ever need...
