» Poem: Smiling
Smiling
written by Trapezium
02:53 PM 1/27/05
Smiling on the cover, but bleeding inside
Like winters after the warmth,
Beneath the peace lies disturbance.

Angels ease the pain, like feathers from heaven
The sun shines, but still I'm left
In the shadow... In darkness... In despair.

Pain is but a phrase, that doesn't come close to how I feel
My tears still slash my blank face,
Haunted by phantoms of the mind.

The sky is glowing, alive with contempt
What a beautiful night to leave behind...
What a beautiful life to leave behind.
