Haunting Childhood

have you ever felt such paralyzing fear
that it makes your eyes tear
the fear the boils the blood in your veins
and drives you slowly insane
the fear that makes you shiver and shake
soon your whole body begins to quake
as a child I felt this fear every night
too afraid to use my sight
I didnt want to be seen
didnt want to see his eyes gleam
I didnt want him to hear me breathe
but it was all I could do to keep my chest from heave
I feared him because I knew him
and I knew it would happen again
that I overpowered and shamed
to him it was all a game
molested in my own home
has left me meak and wanting to remain alone
he doesnt see my scars
the mental and physical mars
