» Poem: Haunted Whispers
Haunted Whispers
written by blackened_rose

Haunted whispers in your ear
A voice that makes you tear
A hand that holds you down
Far under the ground

He lurks in your deepest thought
For that's what he always sought
He whispers horrid things
Death is what he brings

'You cannot die for the sins of the world'
For he thought unto the world untoward
'This burden is far too great for one man alone'
That's why they buried Him beneath cold stone

'Crucify Him! Crucify Him!'
In His eyes, the color will dim
Beating is not a good enough punishment
Where this man should be sent

He calls himself the son of God
But yet He walks among this land
He is not the one we believed to be
Send us Barrabbas, the prison let him leave

Look at how we beet Him
For an out cry He didn't make
Look at how we hate Him
Even though He died for our own sake

His love for us is a powerful thing
But for Him, death we did bring
His words of wisdom taught us much
But we killed Him with more then a touch

His hands are stained with His own blood
For nails we beet threw His palms
We nailed Him to a cross of wood
When He did no wrongs

Look at how He dies for us
For we do not deserve this at all
Look at the pain He goes threw
Just to feel His life fall

The ground is caked with blood
Red and pounding with pain
Death over takes like a flood
He died for our sins all the same

'I shall fallow You where ever you go.
To prison even to death.'
Peter, how couldn't you know
The lies that you said

"Before the cock crows,
You shall deny Me three times."
As He is taken to prison
Denied He is, by a mans three crimes

A crown of thorns to wear
A robe of red to bear
The time to carry Your cross
Before Your life You lost

Look at how we cheer it on
When His hands were nailed down
Look at how He doesn't cry for help
With hammers the nails they pound

Marry, a young virgin mother
That saw Her only son
Die under the hands of haters
When His life had just begun

'Flesh of my flesh, heart of my heart
Let me die with you!'
She pleads to never be apart
She loves Him to dearly to

She stays with Him and feels His pain
She wants to make this stop
'My son, when will you end Your own sorrow?'
Then tears on her pale face, she cries a lot

"My Father, why have You forsaken Me?
Why have You abandoned Me?"
He looks to the sky
To find the reasons why

"Forgive them, for they
No not what they do."
Then bowing His head, He died
Think, He died for you!

Taken down from the cross
And laid in a tomb
Man, thinking He had lost
Hate took to much room

Then on the special day
He had chosen to rise again
Loving us the same way
With nothing to blame

Then He ascended into Heaven
And looks to meet us there
Look at how He loves us
Just like a simple prayer

No, I believe in God, and I love your poem. It truly does express the way Jesus was crusified. And I'm Christian, and I am proud of believing and being who I am too. But, yeah, great poem :D
