» Poem: straight past
straight past
written by devilchild01

Left alone again.
Kicked out of the warmth and the comfort
Left to stand in the cold for hours at a time.
I remember you saying you were going to be there.
Why is it that you are never there when I need you to be?
I’m wondering where you are now.
What you are doing at this minute in time.
Hoping your not holding anyone else
Your arms are meant to hold me only.
Is this what it is like to be dead.
Being right next to someone but having him not noticed you.
Watching him glance straight past
Everything that makes me me.
