» Poem: LOST
LOST
written by mattwhatever
10:04 PM 12/16/04
So full of anger, so confused
My soul tortured and abused
So much suffering
Internally combusting

I knew in my heart it was over
Slowly slipping into my melancholy coma
The deep regrets
A world of drink, drugs and cigarettes

The weight of the world on my shoulders
Crushing my heart like a boulder
I’m reflecting inside
No one to confide

I want to die, breathe carbon monoxide
Destroy my insides
I’m drowning, I’m suffocating
Hiding in my writing

Knife through the heart
Gun to the temple
Then I’ll be back to the start
But its not that simple.

Short, but I can see the feeling behind it. You've got a good way of getting the point across. I really like it. :) ~Kath
