» Poem: May I Have This Dance?
May I Have This Dance?
written by fuzzypunkhat

As you approached the marble floor with a smirk on your face,
I skipped along the glistening floor quickening my pace,
For the dance that had twirled within me had been so bold,
To the beautiful dress I attired was the last to be sold,
And your begging eyes and your sparkling tie,
To the day and memory of last when the queen died,
Why are we celebrating and having so much fun,
I do not know why but below went the sun,
You grabbed my waist and spun me around,
Meaningless to dance without a sound,
One more song this is your last chance,
You quickly kneeled but stood and pulled me close to you,
And said,"May I have this dance?"
