» Poem: Quiet Canvas
Quiet Canvas
written by Mars_Phoenix

Found a way to drown out the noise with sound,
A world of virtual nonsense we're the children of a downed,
And this static energy it gives the kids a choice,
To plug in turn on and ignore the fathers voice,
I recall the moment so surreal and sincere,
Of a time when I came face to face with fear,
Taken a step back to watch the sky glow,
Midnight and madness what a show
Of colours and voices like quiet on a canvas,
Silence an army of parents that shout out 'ban this',
Yet in the crowd theres that girl I used to know,
She doesn't even know me yet I need her so,
Much more than the guy who holds her hand,
As I stand back like I always do cuz there no demand
For another guy like me,
But for every one of me theres two or three,
Of the plastic people with their feelings on mute,
It doesn't matter tho cuz yet again I blew it.
