the cold truth
written by emo to the skibbies10:01 PM 6/9/04| I spent most of my time looking out my window. Maybe a little too much time because I can still picture just how every blade of grass in the lawn would sway and make a wave when the wind would blow. I'd never really thought of things like the color and texture of things or the feel of the wind or the way the sun looked in the morning compared to the evening and how much could change in one second during the minute you thought nothing would ever change at all. i now know anything could happen at any second of my life and I'll never be the same again. i guess all of this time spent contemplateing weather the grass will burn and dry up, grow until the trees wont ever be seen again maybe it will become this beautiful wonderland of flowers, it probably wont happen. it would always be the same because some things just wont change no matter how much you wish they would. the grass would grow every summer and be hidden beneath the snow and die in the winter and then start all over in the spring. I've realized that the wind always tastes and feels the same when it mixes with the rain and swirls around you and incloses you into a new form of the earth that you never expected you feel that morning when you woke up. life is as unpredictable as your very last seconds |
