» Poem: Blink The Pain Away
Blink The Pain Away
written by Morbid Angel
05:50 PM 11/9/04
One more word and my veins will burst,
You're just trying to lure me from my hiding place,
I'm here holding a knife with tears down my face,
I'll close my eyes and blink the pain away,
Let it fly but the winds,
I'll be ok, come what may,
I wish for death, for death I lust,
I wish that life would go away...
Just go away

Take a step out, go for a walk,
It's not quite a walk on a sandy beach,
Let go of the burden you carry,
Think about where the pain comes from,
You probably never thought of it at all,
It comes from you, the things you read,
With one more step you'll hit the edge,
When suddenly you know...
When suddenly you know.

Blinding light,
In this grave of mine,
Lost my sight.
