» Poem: The Ice Dance
The Ice Dance
written by Mars_Phoenix

And in her eyes there lies a secret garden gate,
To places where we have all loved and lost,
But I'am too late.
I'm too old to see the picture she made for me.

And with every drop of paint spread over her canvas,
I'll pray one day i'll have the eyes to see
Her innocent smile and perfect skin.

Let her paint these eyes as they watch her move,
As she holds my hand her touch it soothes.
And if I could see like her,
I'd paint her in black and white
And wrap her in starry nights.

This was all in the past and It'll never be,
Yet I want her to know this,
So perhaps she'd see,
I'm not the same, but i'm still me.

And though these hands could never hold her,
I'll make her a mirror on the ice,
Her reflection i'll show the truth in my soul.
