» Poem: Swamp of apathy
Swamp of apathy
written by Genocide Reaper
02:50 AM 4/17/05
Foggy as I stand around,
head hanging down.
Locked in a demons lounge.
In this misty water I drown.

Am I treading in a swamp of empathy?
I can’t tell anymore, another friends gone,
yet all I can say is I’m ruled with apathy.
To late to do anything, or say goodbye its done.

I can’t come back,
I’m stuck in slow motion,
it makes me wonder if I’ll get a spiritual promotion.
This is one Hell of a situation,
lost to attraction, dead to all but accusation,
plagued with dedication and complication.

I’m slowly sinking in this quick sand,
I think I can see something in the hourglass,
only a glimpse, times moving to fast.

Hands on my feet, dragging me down,
in over my head, body weak.
Where did it go?
The crown upon my skull.
Is it sinking into the swamp?
Sucked down, and spit out into another world.
Down I go, in apathy, I have drowned.
