Fangs

That slithers into your head
I possess you
I sensously caress your mind with my forked tongue
Seductively easing you into sleep
All of your inhibitions become evanescent
As I look you over with glass eyes
My prey
So weak and powerless
I am nothing more than an idea you have conjured up
In your constant state of escapism
Before I sink my fangs into your flesh
Before my venom steals your life away
I will let you see your loved ones for what they really are
So you can leave your life with resolve |
