True love compared to valentine's day

The day of cards, candy, flowers and love. With stuffed animals soft as the feathers of a dove. Not for me, this corporate cliche. Out for nothing but the money. Card's are boxed away, candy is eaten within a day, flowers wither and decay. So does the love, when it is gifts like these they impose. Thus the truth is exposed. I would rather gather from a garden, a Rose bush. Dig into the dirt with my own hands, and hand it to the woman I loved. To see it transplanted, into our garden, tended to and carefully trimmed. Fed blood, and water. Given all that matters. Like a relationship, the garden would grow, with the right care and attention. With just the perfect amount of communication and affection. To give it your complete, total dedication. Never go a day without caring for it, never any hesitation. Only a fool neglects the one they need. Only a fool wouldn't choose love over greed. Only a fool would allow the garden to wither, wilt, and die. Only a fool would say they did their best but lied. To do your best would be to comfort your garden when it cried, to give it all that you had, and make sure it was fertilized. To always make sure you never left it for anything, a true love would always be there through thick and thin when needed to help its garden after the hail storm and start to tending, make sure the branches and buds, where preciously mended. |

| I agree, valentines day is only for the money. I f you love someone you should treat them wonderfully all the time...not just one day. Nice job-Cassy |
