» Poem: Clouds Of Doubt
Clouds Of Doubt
written by Morbid Angel
09:12 PM 1/2/05
She finally came to realise she can face another day,
No longer haunted by the words that people never say.
She gave her wounds a chance to heal and they became a part of the past,
And something that was once a dream became a fact at last.
She was held by so many arms that kept her locked inside a dream,
The lies they told, the ones who said things that they didn't mean.
But she forgot and let the world flow off her mind,
When something she thought could not be was what the girl did find.
The world flipped over to the side so drowned in light,
The brooding clouds of doubt grew thin and took flight.
She came to learn that mirrors were blinding her true smile,
The way they thought about her did no longer matter while...
......She heard him say he loved her for what she was,
Saw in his eyes the truth behind the three words once thought lost.
She'd never heard them before and never gazed for hours on end,
Without regret on finding they were not from a love, nor a friend.
