» Poem: So Cold
So Cold
written by darktinkerbell

I'm so cold
I feel my heart beat
slowing, almost at a stop
the cold holds me close
the sun is tired, it's job is done
darkness is falling, creeping up
slowly but surely, it wants me
death isn't too far away
am I happy?
a smile comes across my face
or do I think this is all
fun n games?
where are you, to protect me
from deaths cold hand
planning to take me away?
if you were here,
could you save me?
or am I too lost to find?
am I long-gone?
I'm blind, I don't know where I am
all I know is my world is spinning,
about to crash down,
all the while
the cold is taking over me
and I'm giving in,
I'm ready to leave
